AW02 "Ambimorphous" Reconstructed Jacket
Hussein Chalayan Autumn/Winter 2002 "Ambimorphous" Reconstructed Jacket in Charcoal
The Reconstructed Jacket is a tailored silhouette cast in a matte, woven cotton blend. Following a non-linear panel configuration, the left breast is defined by intricate darting with intertwined straps, creating an organic, suspended volume that contrasts against the structured form. The collar is split, one side resolves into folded stand-collar, while the opposing side features a raw-edge lapel. This deconstructed complexity extends through the torso, utilizing curved seams across an off-center, concealed-button placket. At the rear, an elongated strap feeds through the side seams. Finished with a asymmetric hemline, snap-button gusseted cuffs, a full lining and an interior pocket.
