Founded in 1998 by the Belgian design duo An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx, both graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, where they met on their very first day of school in 1987. Before launching their joint venture, Vandevorst honed her technical eye as first assistant to Dries Van Noten, while Arickx refined his structural approach working for Dirk Bikkembergs.
