The Silver Bandage Ring is inspired by the medical bandages that designer Takayoshi Yamanami wraps around his fingers during his daily creative work. While bandages function as protective gear to prevent injury, the designer is drawn to the tactile wrinkles, overlapping woven fibers, and physical tension created by finger movement. Sculpted to replicate this aesthetic, the ring features a textured, wrapped bandage expression finished in a blackened coating designed to gradually wear off over time, revealing the sterling silver underneath.
