The J1W-GTPL is a wide-body, articulated shell jacket constructed from a 40-denier recycled nylon face fabric integrated with 2-layer GORE-TEX® Paclite® Plus technology. Re-patterned as an oversized iteration of Errolson Hugh’s seminal J1A design, the J1W features a broader, volume-focused cut built to accommodate heavy layering and load-bearing configurations. The jacket is engineered with signature Acronym subsystems including zipless reloadable GravityPocketsǽ, a newly designed TensionZipǽ flak pocket, an INTEROPSǽ zip system for seamless 3A bag compatibility, a removable storm hood, and a detachable JacketSlingǽ. Additional details include ForceLockǽ magnetic collar tabs, a SpeedLockǽ adjustable hem, and an EscapeZipǽ front closure for rapid shedding.
